On-line registration is now closed. You may register at Packet Pick-up (December 2nd) from 11am - 6:00pm at the National Guard Armory - 245 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464 or on Race Day (December 3rd) outside of Lagunitas Taproom from 7:00-8:30 AM. We highly recommend registering at Packet Pick-up.

The race route starts and finishes in front of Lagunitas Taproom. You can register in person at packet pickup (info) on December 2nd from 11am to 6:30pm. You may also register on race day in front of Lagunitas Taproom from 7am-8am. All race registrations include a timing chip.

The Party - starts at the finish line in front of Lagunitas Taproom, the Official Race Headquarters. There will be plenty of music, food, and drinks - and it's all free (as long as you have a race number). Complimentary beer will be served from 9:30am - 11:00am on the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd floors as racers cool down and the awards are presented. You must have an I.D. to be served! The presentation of race awards will be held in front of Lagunitas Taproom (on the stage) immediately following the costume contest.

The After Party - starting at 11:00am the real party begins with the Official Reindeer Run Post Race Party. Lagunitas Taproom beer, Bloody Marys, appetizers and more will be at happy hour prices until 2:00pm. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Reindeer Run beneficiaries.

And don't forget about the live music provided by Charleston's very own Cordovans! You have seen this great local band all around town and they have agreed to return this year to jam out with us.

The Reindeer Run, presented by Half-Moon Outfitters, is a family-oriented, pet-friendly 5k run/walk through the lower peninsula of downtown Charleston, SC. The event has grown significantly over the years; from only a few hundred participants to record attendance of over 3,500 runners in 2012. Throughout the history of the event, the Charitable Society of Charleston (CSC) has donated over $715,000 toMUSC Children’s Hospital. In 2015 alone CSC donated $62,000 to the Children’s Hospital. The funds generated from the Reindeer Run help MUSC develop and maintain a variety of programs in the Children’s Hospital and the Darby Children’s Research Institute, including research in the prevention and treatment of childhood diseases.

Proceeds from the Reindeer Run are split between MUSC Children’s Hospital and the Charitable Society of Charleston. 80% of the funds go to the MUSC Children’s Hospital and 20% go to the Charitable Society of Charleston’s endowment. This endowment provides grants and donations to local non-profit organizations which benefit both children and elderly residents of the Lowcountry.

Charitable Society of Charleston

The Reindeer Run is a non-profit event planned and produced by the Charitable Society of Charleston (CSC). CSC is a dedicated group of young professionals who are committed to providing volunteer service and funds to local non-profit organizations that help individuals in our community. It is the mission of CSC to primarily serve, through volunteer hours and charitable donations, organizations that serve underprivileged children, the elderly, and individuals with special needs, along with community wellness.
