Runners begin at 9:00 am and Walkers at 9:05 am. The race route starts and finishes in front of Southend Brewery. You can register in person at the Gaillard Auditorium on November 30th from 11am to 6:30pm. You may also register for untimed entries on race day in front of Southend Brewery from 7am-8am.

contest is now closed for Reindeer Run 2012.
The Party - starts at the finish line in front of Southend Brewery, the Official Race Headquarters. There will be plenty of music, food, and drinks - and it's all free (as long as you have a race number). Complimentary beer will be served from 9:30am - 11:00am on the 1st & 3rd floors as racers cool down and the awards are presented. You must have an I.D. to be served! The presentation of race awards will be held in front of Southend Brewery (on the stage) immediately following the costume contest.
The After Party - starting at 11:00am the real party begins with the Official Reindeer Run Post Race Party. Southend Brewery beer, Bloody Marys, appetizers and more will be at happy hour prices until 2:00pm. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Reindeer Run beneficiaries.

The Reindeer Run, presented by Piggly Wiggly and Half-Moon Outfitters, is a family-oriented, pet-friendly 5k run/walk through the lower peninsula of downtown Charleston, SC. The event has grown significantly over the years; from only a few hundred participants to record attendance of over 3,200 runners in 2011. Throughout the history of the event, the Charitable Society of Charleston (CSC) has donated over $500,000 to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). In 2011 alone CSC donated $71,000 to the Children’s Hospital. The funds generated from the Reindeer Run help MUSC develop and maintain a variety of programs in the Children’s Hospital and the Darby Children’s Research Institute, including research in the prevention and treatment of childhood diseases.
Proceeds from the Reindeer Run are split between MUSC Children’s Hospital and the Charitable Society of Charleston. 80% of the funds go to the MUSC Children’s Hospital and 20% go to the Charitable Society of Charleston’s endowment. This endowment provides grants and donations to local non-profit organizations which benefit both children and elderly residents of the Lowcountry.

The Reindeer Run is a non-profit event planned and produced by the Charitable Society of Charleston (CSC). CSC is a dedicated group of young professionals who are committed to providing volunteer service and funds to local non-profit organizations that help individuals in our community. It is the mission of CSC to primarily serve, through volunteer hours and charitable donations, organizations that serve underprivileged children, the elderly, and individuals with special needs, along with community wellness.
